You may join RASC by clicking on the "Membership Forms" bar on the left side to open up a membership form (they are available in different formats for convenience). Print, complete and mail the forms along with a check (payable to RASC) for the appropriate membership dues to the Rochester Active Sports Club, P.O. Box 6894, Rochester, MN 55903-6894 or within Mayo Clinic to Michael O'Connor at Charlton 1-225,  Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN 55905.

Note: All RASC members are notified by e-mail early each year of the annual dues for membership renewal which are due at the end of February. Members who joined or renewed on or after October 1st of the preceding year will be given an automatic renewal for one year and will not receive a renewal notice.

Rochester Active Sports Club is a multi-sport club designed to provide a framework for the support and development of sports such as cycling (MTB and road) and nordic skiing in South East Minnesota. The club is organized as a nonprofit organization in the State of Minnesota and has 501 (c)(3) status. The charter of the club allows the members to form additional groups to support other activities such as in-line skating etc. Most of the business of the club is conducted via e-mail and the internet as they provides rapid, inexpensive means of communication. RASC is strongly orientated towards active participation in endurance sports. Most of us would rather be out biking or skiing than in a meeting. With its strong emphasis towards endurance sports, many of the members actively compete in their sports. One of our primary goals is to build up active participation through coaching sessions and clinics to improve members skills in biking and skiing. We organize coaching sessions, ski events, bike races and regular bike rides. The coordinators were picked because they are very active in their sports and had been informally organizing many such events over the last few years.

Over the last few years Bruce Walk has been the principal architect of the ski trail developments in both Quarry Hill and Essex Park and has worked extensively on the selection and purchase of the best grooming equipment. In addition to being one of the groomers for the ski trails he is also a coach on the RNST. In recognition of all his work for the club, Bruce was named RASC Member of the Year and at the RNST / Essex Park fund raiser on 22nd, he was presented with a small token of our gratitude for all his work for the club.

RASC was one of 9 organizations/ people nominated for the 2010 Olmsted County: Live for Others - Healthy Community Award. Dave Greymont attended the reception in the Government Center on the 13th and accepted the Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the club.
